Much has been said about the Bush administrations use of water boarding. Is it torture or interrogation? The link below shows a man being water boarded.
Put your self in this situation. You have captured an enemy combatant. You are confident he has information you need. The ECs information is time sensitive. If the EC does not start talking in the next few minutes it is likely people will die.
Are you going to look at the EC and say “Please tell me.” Or are you going to water board him and save some lives?
